The universe of Battlelords if filled with abbreviations and acronyms that can be confusing to the uninitiated. Below, arranged alphabetically, is an ever-expanding list. An abbreviation of acronym link within the Battlelords WIKI should first direct you here, where the full term will be provided. The full term will then directly link to its Glossary entry for a quick definition.

If you look real hard, you'll find a few humorous goodies we mercenary editors can't help hiding and maybe some insights into future products!

  • D - Disarm or Dislike or Direct Brain Connection Input (computer)
  • d4 - Four sided die
  • d6 - Six sided die
  • d8 - Eight sided die
  • d10 - Ten sided die
  • d12 - Twelve sided die
  • d20 - Twenty sided die
  • d100 - One-hundred sided die or more commonly, two 10-sided die with one die representing the "ones" place and the other representing the "tens" place, with a roll of '00' indicating 100. Also called 'percentiles.' Battlelords of the Twenty-Third Century is a d100 system, as most combat and skill rolls require rolling percentiles.
  • d1000 - Rolling three ten-sided die to obtain a number between 1 and 1000. One die represents the "hundreds" place, another the "tens" place, and the remaining die represents the "ones" place. A roll of '000' is equivalent to 1000.
  • da - day. See also 'GSD.'
  • D/A - Damage Per Attack
  • DAM - Damage
  • DD - Death's Door
  • deac. - deactivate
  • DOA - Dead on Arrival
  • Doc - Doctor
  • DOD - Dodge
  • DEP - Depleted Uranium Rounds
  • Det - Detect or Detonation (as in "det cord")
  • DET - Detonator Type
  • Dex. - Dexterity or Manual Dexterity. See also 'MD.'
  • DFMS - Defibrillation Massive Stimulant
  • DIS - Disarm or Disintegration Mode
  • DM - Defensive Modifier
  • DRONK - Dumb Rams who accidentally Obliterate Nice Kitties
  • DS - Deep Space
  • Dur - Duration (of matrix or flamethrower attack)

  • K - Thousand or Keyboard Input (computer)
  • kg - kilograms or kilos. Metric unit of measure for weight. 1 Kilogram = 2.20 pounds
  • KP - Kilopoint (of damage). 1 KP = 10 HP = 1000 points of damage.
  • km - kilometer. Metric unit of measure for distance. 1 kilometer = 1000 meters = 0.62 miles = 3281 feet
  • km/s - kilometers per second
  • KIA - Killed in Action
  • KIC - Kick
  • KISS - Keep it simple stupid.
  • KNE - Knee Kick
  • kph - kilometers per hour. 1 kph = 0.62 mph = 0.278 meters per second = 0.91 feet per second.
  • K-Sat - Killer Satellite
