Amulet
Amulet, The Crown Jewel of Corporations. That’s what the moto is, that’s what the signs say, but ‘talking it over with your friends’... none of you seem to be able to recall ever hearing of this corporation before.
A little investigating tells you that the name has been on paper for a while, but that they have had no “real” dealings with any actual “activities.” There is, however, a paper trail that shows the company being involved in investments and financing, not real impressive. Like they have been working to make money the “Hard Way” legally. Well a lot of companies look that way, who’s to really know. The list of owners isn’t accessible but the CEO and Primary holder is a sentient listed only as Archive Omnibus.
You have put in applications into a great many places, this was not one of them, but it is a job, and since you haven’t heard from anyone else, what the hey.
The ends may not justify the means, but you do need the right tools for the right job. Amulet believes that with more successes one makes more money, earns abetter reputation, attracts more employees, and has Limitless Potential. The right tools help make those successes.
The way corporations are rum now, there will come a point were corporate internal civil strife will cause it’s own self destruction by the hands of all it’s unhappy employees rising up against the heads. Sentient’s are capable of taking a lot of shit, but everything has it’s limits. When a septic tank of a corporation reaches it’s maximum capacity, one of two things happens, either it gets flushed out, or it explodes all over everything. In either case it starts all over again.
Amulet thinks differently then the rest. They believe that by treating their sentient’s right, great training, great equipment, great support, that they will gain a better and more loyal personal base and a better reputation with better results and more successes, and success = money.
Combat types get military Basic Training, if they prove themselves they get Marine Training. Depending on the group dynamics they could get more Advanced training, Storm Trooper, or Navel. The best gear is provided, weapons and armor, but you are always welcome to upgrade what you have with your own money. As you advance and become more skilled your gear gets upgraded. If a mission has things that can help you get the equipment assigned, until completion of the mission. Nobleness, Honorableness, and Loyalty in both actions and deeds are highly rewarded! The opposite goes the other way!
Amulet is a Private Small Corporation. Anonymity is one of it’s tools. It’s security and defenses are equal to a Mega-corp, though it’s finances are nothing compared to the Mega-corps. It is working on it. But they know the Big Game is a distant dream. Still they are well connected with many that can and do help, for what ever reasons.
Amulet personal are equipped as needed by their superiors, assigned equipment like military personal, though better. They receive a 10% pay increase then the norm. Currently they are hiring personal for a deep space exploration and recon missions. The full array of support included.
