BATTLELORDS TERMINOLOGY
- Advantage: A special power or ability.
- Controller: A Battlelord or PUD with the ability to generate Matrices.
- Deactivate: To shut down a Hotspot so that no revenue is produced. Card is turned face down.
- Defeat: To cause an opponent to retreat, or to be vanquished.
- Die: To be discarded.
- Eliminated: To remove from game. Do not place in discard pile.
- Generate: To channel mystic forces to produce a game effect. Usually costs Fame Points.
- Heal: To remove from the discard pile and place on the Command Display.
- Kill: To discard.
- Killing Blow: When an attack score total exceeds a Defense score total. Usually results in a Battlelord or PUD being killed.
- Lead Commander: The first Commander to act in certain phases. Play proceeds clockwise after the Lead Commander has acted.
- Reactivate: To reestablish a Hotspot so that revenue is again produced. Card is turned face up.
- Vanquish: To cause each Battlelord and PUD in your opponent’s squad to be discarded.

Summary Order of Battle
A single game turn is composed of the follow phases. Each phase is completed by all players before moving to the next phase.
