Colonial Reconnaissance Corps: Chapter 7: Training
From SSDC, Inc.
Many A-team recruits come from military backgrounds, but others may join up from the unwashed masses back home, seeking fortune or simply an escape from something. In general, an A-Team candidate must be in excellent physical shape and/or possess high intelligence, education, matrix abilities or some other trait that makes him desirable to A-Team recruiters.
Those with desirable traits or knowledge will be sent thru an intense physical conditioning program similar to a particularly arduous boot camp to make certain they are in adequate physical condition.
Likewise the recruits will receive an intense education in the basics of field survival. Those with high intellectual potential will be given basic science courses in various fields such as biology, geology, etc. They will not be trained to 'second guess' the experts but to be more helpful in assessing new discoveries and providing information to their superiors in a more efficient manner.
All in all, an A-Team should have a wide diversity of skills, with survival, science and combat prominent.
