Are there new age and physical description charts (like in the GU) for the races not covered in the GU?'
A: They will appear in GU3.
Will there be credit rating modifiers for the new races? If they exist already can we have a copy?
A: This will appear in GU3.
Is there a maximum Agility for humans?
A: 105
What is the maximum Agility for Gen-Humans?
A: See the races min./max. FAQ, still under construction. Sorry for the delays but we had to
finish Blood Dawn!!
Can Jezzadeic Priests benefit from cybernetic matrix enhancement?
A: Yes.
Can Jezzadeic Priests benefit from mental skills like range control and power control?
A: Yes.
What experience tables do the Gemini and Ikrini use for matrix advancement?
A: Gemini use Empath tables and Ikrini use Energy Controller tables.
Eventually there will be published tables for both of these races, but until then use the tables above.
Can an I-bot use skill chips?
A: Yes.
Can an I-bot purchase/acquire more skill packages? If so, how much would these cost?
A: Yes, to calculate the cost total the skills as if you had paid for the training up to the desired level according to the training cost listed on the skill chart, then use 300% of this total as the cost of the I-bot skill package.
Are Mazians affected by A/R beams?
A: Yes, 1/4 damage.
How do you do critical hits for a Mazian?
A: Mazians do not suffer critical hits.
How much water do Cizerack drink in a day?
A: 1 unit.
Since Mazians don’t have arms can they shoot multiple weapons?
If so would they still suffer the multiple weapon (-20, -30 off hand) penalty?
A: Mazians can use multiple weapons and they also suffer from the normal penalties, but keep in mind that Mazians normally have an abysmal Manual Dexterity modifier.
Can you download an I-bots memory?
A: Yes. This is similar to the mind read that most Mega-Corps use on non-I-bots.
The I-bots owner also has the right to do this.
Is an I-bot made out of machines, artificial organic materials, chemicals, other substances, or an mixture of several?
A: Synthetic organic material and advanced cybernetics.
Are I-bots affected by neuro weapons?
A: Yes.
Are I-bots affected by EMP cannons?
A: No, unless they have additional cybernetics installed.
Are Eridani allowed to wear any sword with them, or just their ceremonial two handed sword?
(They will still be honor bound not to remove the silk tie down.)
A: Eridani are allowed to carry any sword equivalent with them.
This avoids a lot of problems with the Eridani. This includes a light sword.
And they can remove the tie down if someone grievously insults their honor or that of Eridine, at least in most places.
Do I-bots need to eat, recharge, or both?
A: I-bots function as a normal member of their model race (the race they are made to resemble).
Do I-bots have a life span?
A: Yes, the equivalent life span as a normal member of their model race (see GU).
What are the Yontacha?
They are listed as a possible contact in No Man's Land, and in the ‘’I was just Growing Up tables”.
Yet I am unable to find any description on them.
A: Yontacha are fanatically devoted to the idea of purifying the universe of mercenaries.
They are in the basic book; also in Condemned their leader Odak is described.
Their description is on page 29 of No Man's Land. Odak is also in the Battlelords card game.
How many skill points does a Techknight start of with?
A: A Techknight starts with 40 points.
It states in the GU II that Furbles special ability is 4 levels of acrobatics.
Yet in the creatures description (general knowledge) it states that they have 5 levels.
Which is correct?
A: The Furbl should have 5 levels of Acrobatics.
Do all Furbls posses 3 levels of hunting and stealth or only those native to Taos 4?
A: None of them possess any hunting skill, as it doesn’t exist. Replace with tracking skill.
It states in the Gemini’s liabilities that sunlight reduces STR and CON, yet it fails to tell us by how much (preferably in points of STR, CON per minute of exposure. or something like that).
A: For each hour in the sun STR. and CON are reduced 5 points, to a max. reduction of 20 points.
Fott’s have sensitive ears and have a 5% chance to burst an ear drum for each point of sonic damage they take.
Yet, I can not find a “sonic” weapon that does damage! Most just require a Sonic SMR!
(Perhaps it’s a 5% chance for each point a Fott misses it’s Sonic SMR?).
A: There are monsters which do damage through sonic means.
There are also some matrices which do this.
What is the correct size for the Furbl?
GU2 has their height listed as 72+d12 inches, and weight as 160+2d6x10.
That’s a minimum height of 6’1, and minimum weight of 180 pounds.
Aren’t these creatures supposed to be small?
A: Yeah, its a typo of some kind.
Height: 36 + d12 inches. Weight: 30 +d4*10 lbs.
(Umm, I don’t write these things down so when we fix it might be slightly different.)
Starting skill points for the three PC races in No Man’s Land? A: 50 for all of them.
What’s to stop Andromeni from sneaking into a military camp and possessing a humpty dumpty pilot inside his vehicle (since they can pass through inanimate barriers)?
A: Well, first of all Humptys are thought controlled, most would recognize a change in mental patterns and security lockups would take over.
Secondly, if the flux shield is active they are out of luck.
Finally, as they entered the camp the advanced energy scanners would probably pick them up;
if you have Humpty Dumpty’s you have the latest in detection equipment!
When Andromeni inhabit a dead host, does the corpse decompose?
A: Not externally, but the corpse loses constitution due to internal decomposition.
Gemini starting money is misprinted in GUII, should be ... 9d6x100.
How do bonuses for age (see GUI) change when you move from one age bracket to the next?
Do you drop the old bonuses and apply the new bonuses?
Are the new bonuses added/subtracted from the old bonuses?
A: The new modifier is applied, drop the old one and calculate as if the player started at that age.
BLACK ERIDANI!
We wanna see some stuff on the Black Eridani.
Like rules for generating them as a new player character race!
We know they are genetically engineered and raised by the Phentari.
How much stronger, tougher, smarter, etc. are they than regular Eridani?
How are they trained? All that good stuff.
A: See Injection ... maybe more later.
It states in the GUII that the Ashanti has a sixth sense that makes them aware of “objects” around them.
Does this mean the Ashanti can see the invisible, or detect objects in darkness?
If so are their any modifiers? Does this sixth sense work for 360 degrees?
Can the Ashanti “see” in the dark?
Does he need to have his other senses to use his sixth sense (is it linked with sight or smell)?
Does the Ashanti take penalties for wearing armor/helmet? What is the range of this power?
A: Yes; Yes; Yes; They can basically see in the dark but they cannot make out fine details (writing).
It is independent of other senses. They get no penalties for armor.
They can detect objects out to 5m, but their bonus to shots is good in all cases.
One of our players noted that the Ashanti’s smell modifier is +90%!
Is this a typo, does it represent the Ashanti’s 6th sense?
If so does the Ashanti take penalties for wearing a helmet and armor?
A: It has very good sense of smell.
What is an I-Bot slayborg or Killforcer ... and where can I get one!!!
A: It is an I-bot designed for combat, with appropriate enhancements. Of course they aren’t available to the public.
If a Mazian or Eridani normally requires 1 unit of food daily, why would they ration?
For the same food intake, they would take penalties. Is this to imply that these races suffer no penalties, or is a person considered “rationing” when the rest of their party is, or what?
A: They suffer no penalties for eating 1 unit per day. They can ration at 3/4 unit per day.
Under what conditions would an Eridani or Phentari require coolant injections?
How do they normally cool themselves? Do they sweat, or pant, or what?
How does one lose the means to cool oneself?
A: Due to an illness, massive critical wounds (BMs discretion), or on desert or jungle planets. I assume they sweat, they definitely don’t pant.
Am I correct in assuming that Tza can learn normal healing matrices should it suit them?
A: Yes.
I’m sure this has been asked in the past, but how many skill points do Misha Dream Merchants get for character creation?
A: 50. As a side note if no amount is listed it is usually 50.
Our resident Ram wants to know which race Phentari find better tasting, Humans or Gen-Humans.
We couldn’t decide whether they would dislike Gen-Humans because they taste like imitation Humans, or they would like them because they are generally more physically fit.
I think it would be personal taste but we want to know what you guys think! :)
A: They don’t really distinguish the taste except on an individual basis but they like to call Gen-Humans ‘processed meat’. So some of them probably shy away from it while others sing its praises ala spam.
When a character loses constitution due to loss of BPs, does his Death’s Door change?
A: Yes.
What are the alignments in the game (Negative Determinist, Negative Fatalist, et. al...;GU), and what are their definitions?
A: Alignment has been removed from the game.
What is the power source of an I-Bot? How much power units do they hold?
Could an Energy Matrix user detect the energy off of them?
A: Most are powered by small fusion reactors accounting for some of the tremendous expense.
Typical PU available is 100PU at any given time but the I-Bot will die if this is tapped.
Most are energy shielded but it is possible to detect the energy with scans.
If Pythons do double the damage shown on the Strength table, do they double their bench press/ mil press numbers as well?
A: Yes.
Have the Phentari developed some sort of infravision since the Eridani have it and both races shared a similar environment?
A: No, they evolved differently.
Does the Ashanti have a +30 or -30 in military leadership since he’s supposed to be a combat tactician?
A: +30. -30 is a typo.
In the Battlelords rule book it is said that for most races, except for Gens, Humans and Orions, cannot change prices when bargaining by more than 40% does this hold true for new races?
A: Yes.
If a race can see in infravision can he also see with normal vision, can he switch at will?
A: Yes. The infravision is just extra colors in their vision.
What is the range of the Cizerack’s nightvision and other races special vision/sense?
A: Same as normal vision.
Can a Mazian copy a bird and fly?
A: Only with an IFN. Also he can’t carry more than such a bird would.
Finally to copy the feathers is very difficult and I would say a level 20 shape change check.
How well can a Mazian manipulate his body (I know his skill has something to do with it)?
What I want to know is, how many pseudo pods can he use at once? How well could he manipulate them?
How thin and small can they stretch?
A: Well, theoretically a Mazian could use up to 8 limbs and form features as thin as thick threads, but the check becomes very high.
How fast can a Mazian shape change?
Is it quick, like the face in The Abyss, or more like the T2 coming up off the floor in T2?
A: More like the T2.
When a Mazian takes on the form of another (I happen to keep changing into Andoneans), will his speed be adjusted for the race he is imitating?
A: If he has an IFN, yes.
What if the Mazian changes shape into some form of an animal that can climb walls or has multiple legs (like a big spider, or a small arachnid)?
A: Wall climbing is a feature of sticky appendages or special grippers. If the Mazian can form the grippers, then he can climb rough walls. However, he would tend to slide off smooth surfaces.
How many shapes can a Mazian remember?
A: For game purposes, an infinite number.
If a Mazian is blind (well...can see only within 5 ft), and is imitating another race, and happens to be inside environmentally contained armor, how the hell do they get around?
Sonar will not work, and he needs to be outside armor to use vibration sense.
A: He had better have a camera inside there, or else he is screwed.
Since a Mazian can absorb certain things inside his body, how fast can he get them out?
Example: My Mazian keeps a Savage-D for back up usage...
I assume I only need to stick the barrel out of my body to shoot...
kind of neat to see a Human with the barrel of a Savage-D sticking out of his eye.
A: 1 second.
How much can a Mazian keep inside him?
A: Up to his medium enc rating.
In his natural blobby state, what is a Mazian's size class (he can variate between 1 and 5)?
A: Even his blob form can vary from 1 to 5.
Can Ashanti detect concealed mines and pads? What about other concealed objects?
A: No. No.
Do Ashanti take penalties for Snap Shots, inside that 5m area? Outside 5m?
A: No. No, provided they have LOS to the target.
How many skill points does a Techknight start of with?
A: 40
