  • Early Warning System (EWS) - Provides advance notice of objects approaching a system's perimeter. These Long range sensors can locate and identify ships coming out of hyperspace, then relay pertinent information to ground tracking stations.

  • Electrical Attack (ELE) - An armor's resistance to the effects of electrical attacks. Relates the toughness SMR against electrical attacks.
  • Electrical Survival Matrix Roll (Elec) - A character's base chance to avoid damage from electrical sources. Damage depends on amount of current present.
  • Electro-Magnetic Pulse Attack (EMP) - An armor's resistance to the effects of
  • Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) - An Occupational Skill. Allows a character to jam enemy electronic gear. There is a skill for atmospheric and space. Also an armor option.
  • Electronic Counter Counter Measure (ECCM) - An Occupational Skill. Allows a character to stop an enemy from jamming electronic gear.
  • Electro-Magnetic Pulse Attack (EMP) - An armor's resistance to the effects of electro-magnetic pulse attacks. Relates the toughness SMR against electro-magnetic attacks.
  • Encumbrance (ENC) - Measures the amount of equipment a character can carry relative to his or her Strength. Carrying too much heavy or bulky stuff affects initiative and reaction modifiers.
  • Energy Consumption (EC) - An optional rule. The amount of energy a weapon or piece of equipment requires to function.
  • Energy in Power Pack (EPP) - An optional rule. How much energy a power pack holds. Energy Per Shot multiplied by the quantity of shots a weapon hold equals Energy in Power Pack (EPS x Q of weapon = EPP).
  • Energy Per Shot (EPS) - An optional rule. How much energy a single shot from a weapon utilizes. Energy Consumption multiplied by the maximum damage of a single-shot equals Energy Per Shot (EC x max dam of single shot = EPS).
  • Emergency Damage Control (EDC) - An Occupational Skill. Allows a character to take charge of emergency damage repair on a starship, especially during battles, when quick repairs mean the difference between living or sucking vacuum.
  • Empath - Nickname for Chatilian.
  • Employment Index (EI) - Reflects a character's current salary and is a rating of how likely a character can obtain credit. See Galactic Underground.
  • Energy Controller - Nickname for Mutzachan.
  • Energy Vampire - Nickname for Andromeni .
  • Equivalent - Often you just can't find exactly what you need, but you can substitute something else. BM says, "You find a dog-equivalent."

  • Eusocial - WIth a social structure like that of bees or other social insects. Most individuals are sterile drones or workers in a rigid hierarchy, usually serving a king or queen, who are the only individuals in the hierarchy capable of reproduction.
  • Experience Points (XP) - Denotes the amount of experience that a character has gained while operating in the field. The higher the XP, the more advanced and seasoned a character.
  • Extra Vehicular Movement (EVM) - An Occupational Skill. Allows a character to operate outside a spaceship, spacewalking, functioning in zero gravity, etc.
