It's My Party And I Die If I Want To: Complications and Variations

This is a list of various ideas (by various people) of what might happen during the party. Feel free to add ideas of your own.
- The kid's parents are important corporate people all right. But from the chief rival of the PCs sponsor! Since the kid knows that his father doesn't approve the kid's hero-worship of his daddy's archrival corp's mercs, the kid "forgot" to inform his parents about the party. At all! So, naturally, the mercs of the rival company are starting to look for them, fearing a kidnapping. Or worse.
- With grizzled combat veterans to protect the party, the party can take place in a rare and dangerous location. Maybe the kid takes his parent's space yacht for a joyride to the nearest asteroid field. Maybe the girlfriend of the birthday kid can only kiss him by the soft light of the Motaran Rift. Maybe the kids have a score to settle with some nasty group of teenage Ram Pythons.
- Not all of the kids present at the party look up to the Battlelords. Some view them as sad failures, too dumb to become anything but a braindead, gun-toting vulture. Roleplay this out. And keep the Aggression checks rolling...
- Then of course there's this girl (or boy) who absolutely hero-worships "(older) men in uniform". Can the PCs cope with young romance? Yes? How about envy?
- A group of kids from influental parents, way out in the open, maybe even far away from their safe corporate campus. Oh, what a nice target for a Rebel attack that is. Maybe the Rebels aim to kidnap one, may all the teenagers. Ransom money equals new weapons for the cause! Maybe the plot is more subtle, and the Rebels have sennt an infiltrator (the barkeeper?) who is a human with Empath powers. His job is to scan the kids for passwords, access codes to corporate grounds, whatever may be useful for a terrorist operation - then leave and let a bomb take care of the task of "demoralization" of the parents.
- A teenage birthday party. Soft music. Holographic candles. A girl and a boy fall in love for the first time ... then, the rival of said boy, being drunk for the first time, yanks out a blaster pistol (out of a PCs holster) and ... can the PCs react in time? WITHOUT killing anyone?
- The spaceyacht has a misjump. And suddenly the PCs are in charge of the kids. Will they make their way back to civilization? How long will they survive on Yummies, pretzels and fizzyglug?
- The Goola-Goola of the group has a nice chat with the kid's teacher, a friendly I-Bot. Then, he IMPROVES it.
